Growth

At the beginning of the year the hashtag #oneword kept appearing in my twitter feed. Instead of New Year's resolutions people where choosing one word to guide them through the year.
My word last year was 'CURIOSITY'. Through my efellowship I was able to explore what curiosity looks like, how it presents itself differently in each person, and how it can be nurtured and used as a powerful motivator for learning. My own curiosity was the driver for a fabulous year full of learning.

This year the word I have chosen is 'GROWTH'.

I have been accepted into the National Aspiring Principal's Programme (NAPP 2016), which focuses on developing leadership capabilities. I am excited about being given the opportunity to develop my skills and knowledge of leadership, as well as making connections with colleagues who are at a similar stage of their learning journey.

I anticipate that this will be a very busy year, but one that will be full of opportunities to grow both personally and professionally.
I intend on making the most of it.

E ai ki te whakataukī, nō he kākano iti,
e puawai ana he Kauri
